Accessible imaging solutions for liver cancer diagnosis and treatment

Anum Aslam's global health focus lies in improving the assessment of treatment response in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) following locoregional therapy, with a particular emphasis on radiologic evaluation. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center's themes of strengthening systems for health and developing technical solutions. Aslam's research aims to advance and disseminate clinically meaningful, accessible imaging-based response criteria for hepatocellular carcinoma, including the refinement and implementation of standardized algorithms such as LI-RADS Treatment Response (LR-TRA), and to explore the use of emerging imaging biomarkers and contrast-enhanced techniques in diverse healthcare settings.
