Data Collaborative grants support research teams working on AI, data science and digital health applications for global health equity. Awards prioritize projects that involve co-development with global partner institutions and that are designed for deployment in low-resource settings.

We welcome proposals that advance the work and goals of CGHE's Data Collaborative, and that address needs identified by collaborators in low- and middle-income settings. Strong proposals will include a comprehensive budget and budget justification that reflects the needs of all collaborators.
Within that, we're particularly interested in projects that do one or more of the following: create or advance data science tools, models, or methodologies — or provide proof of concept — for use in low- and middle-income countries; produce a data-related service that helps advance the acquisition, use, or application of data from these settings; or create new open-source data resources for, or using data relevant to, low- and middle-income settings.

Applicants must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) no longer than two pages via InfoReady. Selected teams will be invited to submit a full proposal. We encourage applicants to reach out whenever they have an idea and feel ready for feedback — for some teams that's early in the process, for others it's later, once the idea has taken shape. Consultation isn't required, but it's available to help with logistical questions or scientific development.
