Yifan Wang’s global health focus centers on collaborative, cross-country research to analyze parasitic infection dynamics, with particular emphasis on genotyping Toxoplasma gondiiand its relationship to severe disease outcomes. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health and developing technical solutions. Wang’s research integrates functional genomics and parasite genotyping to identify molecular determinants of Toxoplasma gondiipathogenesis and host adaptation, supporting more equitable approaches to diagnosis, prevention, and treatment across diverse global settings.
