Clinical Professor

Rajen Mody’s global health focus centers on improving outcomes for childhood and adolescent/young adult (AYA) cancer patients and enhancing the quality of care throughout treatment and survivorship—especially through financially and socially feasible approaches for low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). He is particularly interested in expanding access to cancer care for girls in India and other LMICs. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of empowering women, strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and developing technical solutions. Mody has worked with over 40 pediatric and AYA oncology units in India since 2009, helping build infrastructure for cancer care delivery, access, and clinical research and data collection. He continues to collaborate remotely and via regular in-person visits, supporting India's centers of excellence in developing molecular panels specific to pediatric cancer, leading molecular tumor boards, and ensuring the safe delivery of immunotherapy for high-risk neuroblastoma.
