Fiscal transparency, AI in governance, data-driven accountability

Huaxia Li’s global health focus centers on promoting fiscal transparency and accountability in public sector governance through the application of artificial intelligence and data analytics. By improving how governments manage and disclose financial resources, Li aims to advance equity in global health and social infrastructure. Li’s interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and developing technical solutions. Li’s global research explores how emerging technologies—such as AI, data analytics, and automation—can enhance governmental financial reporting and accountability. This work supports global health equity by ensuring that public financial data are transparent, accessible, and used effectively to improve social and health outcomes worldwide.
