Market dynamics, healthcare access, and sustainable commercial health systems

Pascale Leroueil’s global health focus centers on advising buyers, sellers, and investors on how to harness market dynamics to expand healthcare access in underserved communities. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health and addressing social and environmental determinants of health. Leroueil’s research examines how market structures, financing mechanisms, and commercial incentives determine whether healthcare products and services reach underserved populations. Her work focuses on identifying what is needed to make healthcare markets function profitably, sustainably, and in ways that improve access for communities with limited services.
