Clinical Instructor

Michael Olp’s global health focus centers on advancing equitable access to high-quality diagnostic pathology through sustainable laboratory capacity building, digital health, and pathology informatics. He is particularly interested in developing locally adaptable approaches that improve diagnostic quality, workflow reliability, data accessibility, and communication in resource-constrained settings. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health and developing technical solutions. Olp’s research focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of digital and informatics-based tools that strengthen pathology and laboratory medicine in low-resource environments. His work includes structured diagnostic workflows, multilingual health technologies, clinical data systems, and scalable approaches to improving cancer diagnosis, surveillance, and health-system decision-making.
