Hugo Gonzalez Villasanti’s global work focuses on the use of control systems theory and engineering to design and implement safe, equitable, and cooperative AI health interventions. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and developing technical solutions for global health equity. Villasanti’s research looks at equitable socio-technological systems, with particular areas of interest in modeling and analysis of interventions to reduce alcohol abuse in social settings, and technology-assisted sensory and neural stimulation therapies for stress and mood disorders.
