Ana Montoya’s global health focus centers on improving care and health outcomes for older adults in nursing homes and diverse medical settings, with a particular emphasis on dementia prevention and reducing health disparities. Her interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health, addressing social and environmental determinants of health, and developing technical solutions. Montoya’s research is dedicated to improving care for older adults—especially in low-income communities—by reducing disparities, enhancing medical education, and building partnerships to support quality care in aging populations.
