Adam Horwitz’s global health focus centers on expanding the reach and accessibility of mental health interventions through technology-enabled approaches, with particular attention to depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and suicide risk. His interests in global health equity align with the Center’s themes of strengthening systems for health and developing technical solutions. Horwitz’s research includes collaboration with colleagues at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria to develop a digital platform that combines passive sensing and an AI chatbot to screen students and connect them with mental and behavioral health services.
