Empowering women and communities in global health

November 19, 2020

With Laura Rozek, Cheryl Moyer, Jody Lori, Elizabeth King, and Bridgette Carr

How can we better engage with women in LMIC settings to improve health and empower them and their communities?

Engaging and empowering women can improve the health of entire communities. The Empowering Women and Communities Challenge Group aims to create a space where researchers, public health practitioners, community partners, and others can learn from one another, seek support, and push forward a meaningful agenda focused on understanding, measuring, intervening upon, and assessing the impact of empowerment on health in low-resource global communities.
