The Michigan Medicine-Peking University Health Science Center Joint Institute and the University of Michigan Center for Global Health Equity will co-host a virtual forum with colleagues from China.

Join participants from Michigan and PKUHSC for an exploratory discussion comparing global health and health equity strategies in each nation and respective approaches to address disparities.

The speakers from Beijing are all from Peking University’s School of Public Health (Global Health department) and include experts on climate change, health education, and aging.

University of Michigan panelists include Ann Chih Lin, associate professor of Public Policy and director of the Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies; John Ayanian, professor of Internal Medicine and Health Management and Policy, director of the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation, and senior advisor to Center for Global Health Equity; and Chuanwu Xi, professor of Environmental Health Sciences and Global Public Health at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.

Center for Global Health Equity director Joseph Kolars, who co-directs the Michigan Medicine-PKUHSC Joint Institute, will moderate the discussion.
