Fall community gathering

The Center for Global Health Equity at the University of Michigan is delighted to invite you to our Fall Community Gathering on October 21, 2025.  

This annual celebratory event brings together faculty, staff, and CGHE-funded students from all three U-M campuses, as well as our global partners. The event will include time for socializing, great food and networking, and a student poster fair featuring interdisciplinary research projects from across the university supported by CGHE.

This year, we are welcoming our new Center director, Dr. Akbar Waljee, and we will honor the leadership and vision of our founding director, Dr. Joseph C Kolars, as we commemorate his impact on our university and around the globe.

Please plan to join us and encourage colleagues with an interest in global health equity to attend as well. Come celebrate the next academic year with us, connect with others who value global health engagement, and learn about the work our members are doing in the field.
